Welcome to Afienya Technical Institute
Afienya Technical Institute (AfTI) is a public Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institution located in Afienya, in the Tema area of the Greater Accra Region, operating under the Ghana TVET Service. Founded in 1971, AfTI has grown from a pioneering youth leadership training centre into a fully accredited technical institute, serving 1,032 students — including students with physical, cognitive, and other disabilities — across seven core technical and vocational programmes. AfTI is committed to equipping learners with practical skills, innovation, discipline, and an entrepreneurial mindset to thrive in today’s competitive world. Through dedicated staff, modern training, and strong partnerships with industry — including Workplace Experience Learning (WEL), internships, and apprenticeship opportunities — the Institute prepares its learners to become competent professionals, job creators, and responsible adults.
